Careers at EQXIA

Build the AI future of Mauritius and beyond.

We're a senior, hands-on AI firm. We help businesses turn ideas into systems that hold up in production. If that's the kind of work you want to do, we'd like to meet you.

Why EQXIA

A rare place to work on AI that ships.

Plenty of AI projects never leave the slide deck. At Eqxia, shipping is the point.

Eqxia is based in Mauritius and works with clients across the Indian Ocean, Africa and Europe: a mix of local ambition and regional reach. Our role is to advise when strategy is needed, then actually build, train and deploy when it's time to execute.

Our co-founders have spent 15+ years in and around AI, strategy and creative work: BCG, École Polytechnique, BNP Paribas AI Lab, the creative industry. Between them, they've trained over 3,000 professionals and delivered AI projects in finance, manufacturing, retail, luxury real estate and tech.

We're small on purpose. Small enough that your work is visible from day one, big enough that the problems matter and the clients' decisions move markets.

How We Work

Four principles, non-negotiable.

What it's like to work here

If you think you'd bring something to Eqxia, tell us. We read every open application and reply within two weeks.

The Eqxia team at our Mauritius office — senior AI consultants, engineers and trainers

Work that actually ships.

You'll see your work live inside real client businesses, not filed away in a deck. We scope, build, and hand over running. You measure success by adoption and ROI, not by slides produced.

Stay at the edge, every day.

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, n8n and every serious AI tool are part of your daily kit, not a side project. Training budget for conferences, certifications and tools you want to go deeper on. Weekly internal sessions where the team shares what we're seeing.

Island life, global work.

Your office is in Mauritius, and so is your life outside it. Tropical pace after hours, sharp delivery during them. Work and occupation permits sponsored for the right candidates from abroad.

Room to own things.

Eqxia is senior by design. No layers between you and the client, no gatekeeping, direct C-level exposure from week one. Your ideas land fast, your mistakes are yours to fix, your wins are yours to name. You'll ship work that carries your name, in front of rooms that matter.

FAQ

  • Eqxia is headquartered in Mauritius. Most of our client work happens across the Indian Ocean, Africa and Europe, with the team primarily based on the island. We work hybrid: a mix of client sites, our workspace in Mauritius, and focused remote days.

  • Yes, for the right candidates we sponsor Mauritian work and occupation permits, and we handle the administrative process. It usually takes 4 to 8 weeks. If you're applying from abroad, mention it when you contact us.

  • Four steps, under two weeks. An intro call to understand your background and what you're looking for. A short case or take-home assignment relevant to the role. A team interview with two or three future colleagues. Then a decision, offer, and start date.

  • Yes. Our job descriptions describe the ideal candidate, not a checklist of deal-breakers. If you bring 70% of what we ask for and something unexpected we didn't think to list, we want to meet you. Use the "Why Eqxia?" field to tell us what makes you worth a conversation.

  • Our internal working languages are French and English. Most client deliverables are produced in both. Fluency in both is required for most roles, with some flexibility for engineering positions where English is enough day-to-day.

  • Most roles are based in Mauritius with hybrid flexibility. Content & Marketing Lead is remote-friendly for candidates with the right profile. Engineering and Consulting roles require regular presence in Mauritius for client work, though we support focused remote days. None of this is set in stone: if you bring real value to Eqxia, talk to us, we adapt to the right people, not the other way around.
